#Vanished & The Time Travelers Wife

Well I finally did it! After tweeting #Vanished for about a week and half I finally won an iPod Shuffle being given away by author Joseph Finder. The one day that I don't watch it super closely I win. How's that for luck! I contacted the woman I can only assume is his personal assistant with my mailing address and hopefully I'll get my iPod in the mail soon. Hopefully in about a week.

I went to see The Time Travelers Wife yesterday. That's why I missed the drawing on Twitter. My inlaws were in town so before they left we all decided to go to the movies. I couldn't find a babysitter so the little one had to come with us. The men(Joseph, his dad, and the Joseph II) went to see G.I. Joe. I'm so proud of my baby! He behaved like a big boy. Maybe I'm doing something right in raising him. My mother in law and I went to see The Time Travelers Wife. It was really good.
You know that woman who in the movie is constantly asking you whats going to happen next and using a very loud stage whisper? Well that's my mother in law!! She talked through the WHOLE MOVIE!!!! Every five minutes or so she was asking me who someone was or why something was happening. I mean, weren't we watching the same movie?!
As I'm sitting there waiting for the lights to lower and the previews to begin, I start to count the number of men that come into the theatre to see what can only be termed a "chick flick". There were 6. One little boy who looked about 10 and who might have been on his first date(how cute!!), the next was a boy about 16 who came in with a gang of women, one of which looked like she might have been his mom, then came the twenty year old who followed his girl friend with his head down. Five and six were two men. I didn't know if they were together or together.......
Seven was an older gentleman and his wife. The rest of the theatre was comprised of women between the ages of 10 and 50.
Overall, the movie was a beautiful tale of eternal love and sacrifice. I give it two thumbs up and everyone who loves a good love story should go see it!
